I chose to pursue a degree in Healthcare Informatics at University of San Diego in order to work on my career goals. I believe USD will help me achieve these goals because of the flexibility and support this program has with working full time and working around school. My background is health care insurance and auditing so I have experience in database management of hospital claims. I would like to learn more about organizing and processing data on a large scale as well as implementing the use of electronic health records.

With this degree, I hope to learn more analytical skills and advance my competency in interpreting larger sets of data. My aspiration after completing this program would be to continue to work in my current position and move up within my company. I will use the knowledge attained from this degree to further enhance my role and gain more opportunities within my field. I want to continue to work in health insurance and work on more cost effective measures to lower costs for patients and insurers.
