This artifact is a comprehensive analysis on electronic health records (EHRs) and their benefits and limitations in healthcare. It is a research paper that discusses different studies done on aspects such as costs, patient care, and efficiency with EHRs. This artifact demonstrates learning in my course by helping me further understand the importance of electronic health records and its role in healthcare. It also taught me that there is a lot of room for growth with electronic records which can in turn improve patient care as a whole. Furthermore, this course helped further explain the significance of electronic data which I discussed thoroughly in my final artifact. This final artifact demonstrates the learning outcome of health science knowledge and skills as well as data and knowledge management. Completing this artifact helped with my personal goal of being able to understand more about the importance of patient centered care. Likewise, providing feedback into my mobile health applications can play a vital role in improving health and patient care. Likewise, this artifact also helped with my professional goal of being able to maintain cost solutions with electronic health records with its relation to health insurance, which is what I am currently pursuing in my company. The research done from this artifact has given me an overview on how the clinical team at our company looks at electronic health records and the financial importance of its implementation.
